چکیده
Daily industrial activities especially in developing countries produce and discharge wastes containing heavy metals into the water resources making them polluted, threatening human health ecosystem. One such metal is Chromium, hexavalent form of which extremely toxic carcinogenic. Biosorption, process passive cation binding by dead or living biomass, represents a potentially cost-effective way eliminating from wastewater. The potential microorganisms to remove ions solution has been extensively studied; particular, live fungi have recognized as promising class low-cost adsorbents for removal ions. Fungal biomass various advantages; hence, it needs be explored further take its maximum advantage wastewater treatment. In this study, we discuss characteristics sorption, factors influencing removal. Biosorption studies were performed with both effectiveness Cr (VI) biosorption was compared each parameter. It observed that (approximately): 82% while using sulfuric acid pre-treatment agent (hence only biomass) also 96.5% at 1 N. optimum pH 6 when used, 2 used. Maximum Chromium 86% obtained g whereas 0.5 enough obtain efficiency.96% chromium removed 25° C whereas, about 84% used took place 35° C. 95% 69% 1mg/L concentration. 100 ml, mg/L solution, removal, 63% 1.5 300 ml solution. finally concluded fungal better potentials some other inherent advantages over biomass.

The biomass of the brown seaweed, Ecklonia sp., is capable of reducing Cr(VI) to Cr(III). However, very little is known about the mechanism of Cr(VI) reduction by the biomass. The aims of the present investigation were to enhance the Cr(VI)-reducing capacity of the biomass using various chemical treatments and to elucidate the mechanisms governing Cr(VI) reduction. Among the various chemical tr...

متن کاملRemoval of hexavalent chromium from aqueous solution using canola biomass: Isotherms and kinetics studies
The removing of hexavalent chromium from wastewater or decreasing its chromium (VI) content up to the permitted levels is important due to its non-biodegradation, bioaccumulation, and cancer-causing and toxic effects. In the present study, biosorption of Cr (VI) from aqueous solutions using canola was investigated. The various physicochemical parameters such as pH, initial Cr (VI) ion concentra...
